Diverter Damper for DeSOx

Diverters for DeSOx (FGD) can be applied in various configurations depending on customer requirements. The most common design is the toggle arm driven diverter. The design takes into account the highly corrosive atmosphere of FGD applications. During the retrofit phases of the German coal fired power plants in the 1970’s / 80’s a lot of experience was collected. In combination with modern material and fabrication technology a reliable and robust design is guaranteed.

 Function:

  • Diverts the flue gas coming from the boiler either to FGD or bypass side
  • 100 % flue gas tight
  • Seal air system with electrical or steam heater unit to prevent corrosion

Advantages:

  • Open/close, stepwise modulation and fast closing emergency duty
  • High sealing forces due to toggle arm kinematics

Parameters:

Size: up to 100 m²
